Customer Service Representative
The whole thing took about a week and was done online. It kicked off with a test for personality and logic. After that, there was a one-way interview where I answered five questions on video. Pretty soon after, I got an invite to chat with the hiring manager, Bryson. He was cool and super friendly. It seemed to go well, he said he liked me and thought I was a good fit. He mentioned I'd need to meet with the director, Josh, and after that, he'd check in to see if I was still interested and move me forward. I talked to Josh, who was also really nice and easy to talk to. I felt like that went really well too. I was told I'd hear back by the start of the next week. That got pushed back because of Thanksgiving, so then I was told I'd get an update the week after. When I didn't hear anything, I followed up. I was then directly told I didn't get the job. I was pretty bummed because I was really into FMG, they said I'd be a great fit, and everything seemed to line up with what they told me. So I'm mostly just disappointed that what two people in charge told me didn't end up being the outcome. They both said my experience was great, but that doesn't take away from how great and accommodating they both were.

The interview process spanned about a week. There was a bit of a delay in getting a response because of the holiday week, which is understandable. It began with an assessment, followed by an invitation to a one-way interview. After that, I interviewed with the hiring manager, and then with the director of customer service. Things seemed to be going really well; I was told they liked me a lot and that I would be a great fit. They mentioned that after the interview with the director, they would contact me for next steps and move me forward. I was told I'd hear back early the following week. After waiting a week without hearing anything, I reached out to both the director and hiring manager for an update. The hiring manager never responded, but the director did. That's when I received a rejection, which was disappointing given the positive feedback and having to initiate contact myself. Bryson and Josh were great, kind, and nice people. I'm just very disappointed that the outcome didn't match what I was told, but I suppose things happen for a reason. Overall, it was still a pleasant experience.
- What qualities define excellent customer service?
Customer Service Representative
They said I'd get a follow-up call after my interview, but I never did, even after calling and emailing them. It's frustrating when companies make promises they don't keep.
- Can you tell me about a time you told a lie?
- What's your go-to lie?
