Candidate interview experiences
First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at FMC.
Senior Manager
I went in for two separate visits, with four interviews each time. Meeting them was a great experience, and the whole process felt very well-put-together. They were really clear about what they needed and what the next steps were. The first call was with a vendor company that did a good job. There were tons of applicants, and it came down to 15 people they seriously considered.
- A blend of typical and behavioral questions were asked.
Manager
I went through a lengthy process over several weeks, with 17 different people, some phone calls and some in-person visits to the office. It felt a bit excessive and disorganized, which was a bit of a red flag. Some folks I met with had actually been let go by the time I would have started.
- Tell me about your past work experiences.
- What is your experience with [specific area]?
- What are some of your key achievements from your previous jobs?
Communication Manager
I responded to a job posting. The manager reached out for an initial phone chat, and then I had three video interviews. They were well-coordinated with management, team members, and HR. Everything flowed smoothly within a week.
- What are your strengths and weaknesses?
