Candidate interview experiences
First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at FMC.
Analyst
The first contact was via message and then an interview was scheduled with HR. After that interview, another interview was scheduled with the area manager. Throughout the whole process, everyone was very polite and conducted the interviews smoothly.
- Why are you the ideal candidate for this position?
Analyst
I was interviewed by 4 different people. They seemed more interested in my statistical computer skills than what I had experience with. They asked basic questions about my strengths and weaknesses, and about my computer skills, specifically regarding things like pivot tables.
- Do you have experience using pivot tables?
Programme Analyst
This was for a contract position, hired through an agency. I had a face-to-face meeting with the project manager and a technical team member. We talked mostly about my previous project experience and some technical stuff like .Net, Entity Framework, and SQL Server. They also asked questions to gauge my work ethic and punctuality.
- Could you describe a project you found particularly challenging and explain your reasoning?
