First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at FMC Technologies.
Intern
So I had applied for another job there before. A few weeks later, a HR person reached out and said I didn't get the first job but there was another one I might like. I said I was interested and they set up an onsite interview for the next week. It was about 30-40 minutes with the department manager and another engineer. They mostly asked standard questions about my background, school, and what I'm interested in. They also explained what the company does and what the role would be.
- Have you worked with geometric dimensioning and tolerancing before?
Intern
The interview process was for one day to visit the campus and included a walk around followed by a one on one interview. Everyone I met seemed genuinely excited to work for the company. The interview had behavioral questions and a technical question. It was very comfortable. Safety was a must while we toured the facility, and I was always warned to check to make sure I read signs and followed safety protocol. One week or less after the interview I received an email with an offer.
- There were not any difficult or unexpected questions asked during the interview.
Intern
I submitted my CV and cover letter to the recruiter. Then I had one 60-minute interview with the hiring manager and an HR rep. I got a verbal offer in less than two weeks and a written one within a month.
- Given a choice between us and [competitor's name], what makes you lean towards accepting a role with us?
