I got an email really fast after applying, like within 15 minutes, and they set up a 30-minute call with the talent acquisition coordinator for two days later. I thought the interview went well, and she mentioned moving me to two more rounds the next week. I followed up with her twice, but never heard back. It's been about three weeks now, and still nothing. Then I saw the job posting again on LinkedIn. It would have been cool to get a heads-up if I wasn't a good fit or if the position was filled, but the lack of communication was kind of unprofessional.

Pretty long interview process. Had an initial 45 minute interview with a recruiter who found me on LinkedIn. Contacted soon after the initial interview to set up my next two conversations (30 minutes each) for the very next day without checking my availability. Then, was contacted the day after my 2nd & 3rd interview to set up a 4th and 5th interview for the very next morning. (30 & 40 minutes each) Thought all interviews went well and got good feedback throughout. Haven't heard from anyone so I reached out to the recruiter on LinkedIn and didn't get a response. Checked in one more time with the recruiter a week after asking about updates in the hiring process. Still nothing. It's unfortunate how unprofessional this company is. If you are applying for a job, I'd suggest you apply elsewhere with a company that respects you and your time.

Applying for this role felt like a whole other job! After my online application, a recruiter hit me up on LinkedIn to set up a 30-minute intro call for the following week. The first call was okay; the recruiter did a lot of selling the company and even claimed they had no turnover, which I found hard to believe, but they did share salary info upfront, which was nice. Later that week, I got a message about two more interviews scheduled back-to-back for the very next day. The second interview was with a manager, who seemed like a decent guy. After our chat, we waited for the next person, but it turned out the recruiter forgot to invite her. Oops! So, they rescheduled for the next day. Now I'm three interviews in. The following week, the recruiter messaged again asking if I was free to interview the next day. I said yes to another pair of interviews, one with a manager and another with a director. They were both cool and knew their stuff. Since it's an agency, I asked about work-life balance, and basically got the expected answer: overtime isn't officially required but is necessary to do well. The manager also mentioned that many hires for this role are fresh out of college, which seemed weird given the real-world marketing and data questions I'd been getting. A few days after that, another last-minute interview request came in from the recruiter for two more back-to-back interviews with a director and a manager. These last interviews really changed my mind. I asked about work-life balance again, and the manager said I should expect to work 60 hours a week for the first six months, settling to about 50 hours afterward. This same manager also dismissed my internship experience because 'learning opportunities there are limited' and said my high GPA was the best thing on my resume, which was odd considering my two years of full-time marketing experience. After a total of 7 interviews, I waited two weeks for feedback. The recruiter apologized (he was on vacation) and said they went with someone with more 'direct and hands-on Amazon knowledge.' So, if you're considering Flywheel, know it's an agency that seems to expect a lot of extra hours to keep clients happy. Expect over 5 interviews, often scheduled last-minute, which can be tough if you already have a job. They seem to favor recent grads, likely because they can work them harder. They're also heavily focused on Amazon, with everyone stressed about Prime Day. While they say they're expanding to other platforms, if you want broad digital marketing experience, this might not be the place.
