Candidate interview experiences
First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at flydubai.
Manager
The first stage of the interview uses an online portal with automated tests. These tests cover general knowledge, including math, English, and pattern recognition. They aren't job-specific but check overall cognitive abilities. The automated tests help evaluate candidates objectively and make the process faster for everyone. It's an efficient way to assess skills for the first part of the interview.

Senior Manager
It started with an online assessment, then a video interview. I'm still waiting for the invite to a face-to-face interview. Things have moved pretty fast, and from what my friends who work there say, if you do well on the assessments and don't say anything weird in the video interview, you'll probably get a face-to-face.
- What unique value do you offer to the team?
Manager
After submitting my application online, I got an email about the next steps, which involved an online test. Following that, there was a video interview. The final stage was a face-to-face meeting with HR and the hiring manager. The interview started late and they didn't apologize. Communication was really bad and HR didn't follow up. Overall, the candidate experience was poor, which is a concerning sign.
- Could you introduce yourself?
- What are your career aspirations for the next five years?
- Can you answer some competency-based questions?
