First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Fluke Corporation.
Product Manager
It started with a recruiter call, then two phone interviews with the hiring manager and my direct supervisor. After that, I had a 3-hour onsite with three team members. The final stage was another onsite with an engineering manager and a conference call with the direct supervisor. They ended up going with someone else due to management experience, which felt like something they could have figured out much earlier, maybe even from my resume or after the initial calls. It made me wonder if they were really sure what they were looking for.
- Can you explain the second law of thermodynamics?
- What conditions cause a wind tunnel flow to be choked?
- What is the function of aircraft winglets?
Product Manager
The recruiter was a no-show for the initial screening call, requiring a reschedule. The interview itself felt very scripted and robotic, with the recruiter just reading off information about the role and company before asking a single question. It felt like the main goal was just to increase the number of candidates they contacted.
- Can you share an accomplishment where you influenced financial results?
Product Manager
We have six rounds for the Product Manager job. First, a 30-minute intro with our recruiter. Then, a 30-minute chat with the hiring manager. After that, you'll talk to the Business Unit Manager for 45 minutes. Round four is a 45-minute interview with the Product Application Specialist. The fifth round is 45 minutes with the Business Unit Director. Lastly, round six is a 45-minute interview with another Product Manager from a different team. This ensures we get a good look at everyone for the role.
- Can you share your insights on the product?
- What is your analysis of the market?
- Do you have any general behavioral questions for me?
