The interview process was extensive but covered everything well. I liked that they were upfront about what was needed for the job. They discussed the pros and cons of teaching online versus in a classroom. The questions were also very detailed about teaching methods.

I was contacted by a recruiter for an initial interview that was scheduled for the following week. Before the interview, I received an email with details about the position and the Flex program. The first interview was with another recruiter, who asked me some basic questions about teaching. I was then offered a second interview the following week with the initial recruiter and instructional leaders. In this interview, the questions were more in-depth, focusing on typical classroom and lesson-related topics. I was offered a position, but it turned out to be for a "pool" position, which was not mentioned in the original job posting or during any of my communications with the recruiters. I was informed that my position would be held for a year and I might be called in within a few weeks or months. I'm not particularly optimistic about it.

Got an email about a sourcing writing assessment, then had a phone screen two days later. The day after that was a virtual interview with the team. The virtual part felt really cold; they weren't looking at the camera, were turned to the side, writing notes, and didn't seem engaged. It was like they were rushing and asked closed-ended questions even though they wanted open-ended answers. They didn't leave time for my questions because they had to get to the next interview. I felt like just another number, like they already had someone picked.

The interview process is long. You first apply, then wait for a call for a phone interview. If you pass the phone interview, you take an online test for technology skills. After passing this, there's a group interview. In the group interview, we heard a quick company intro, worked in teams on questions, and tried to build a Lego set together. Then, while a video played, we waited for our individual interviews. I was interviewed second to last. By then, the interviewers seemed impatient and unfocused, chatting on their laptops and to each other while I answered. It felt disrespectful. They said I'd hear back in 7-10 days. After a month, I called and found out I wasn't chosen. Honestly, after all the hassle and poor treatment, I wasn't too bothered. I'm looking for a stable job with a company that keeps its word and respects its employees.
