First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Florida Power & Light.
Business Analyst
We met over Zoom with three staff members because of the pandemic, though normally it's in person. They asked a bunch of questions about my understanding of the role and my qualifications.
- Can you walk me through developing a statistical model from the very beginning to the very end?
- If you were given a dataset, what kind of information would you aim to extract from it?
- What's your motivation for leaving your current job?
Business Analyst
The interview will begin with an initial phone screen, and then you'll have a panel interview with multiple people. If any panel members can't make it, there will be another interview with the remaining ones. Everyone on the panel will ask questions. The team will look at your resume and ask about your experience with technologies, so be ready to explain the details and how you solved problems.
- Can you tell me about your background as a business analyst?
- How do you go about learning new technologies?
- What skills do you employ to help your teammates grasp new technologies?
Business Analyst
It took about 5 months from start to finish for the whole hiring process, but the interviews themselves were pretty easy and friendly. There were a few phone calls, some group interviews, and a few one-on-one meetings. It all felt very informal and positive. They mentioned they were looking for people who could be leaders and show talent.
- What is your desired next role?
