First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Florida Blue.
Business Systems Analyst
So there were 2 rounds of interviews, both panel style, with people from Dev, BSA, and the Mgr team. They all asked questions and gave me a rundown of what the job entails. The Mgrs were pretty chill and tried to help me relax. It's important to be engaging and ask them questions too.
- Can you tell me about your experience with Agile methodology?
- What tools have you worked with in the past?
Business Analyst
I applied and heard back the very next day for a video interview with the recruiter. After that, there was a panel interview. They asked technical and behavioral questions. Everything happened within a week and it was pretty straightforward.
- Can you describe your typical daily activities in a role like this?
- What is your motivation for wanting to join Florida Blue and work on ITSM Projects?
- Could you tell me about some of the ITSM Projects you've been involved with?
Business Analyst
I sent in my resume and then had a 30-minute interview at my university about my experiences. After that, I was invited for an on-site interview in Jacksonville. It was a 5-hour event with 8 different people, involving 4 interviews and lunch. They went deep into my experience and asked a bunch of weird behavioral questions. Everyone was really nice. Unfortunately, I didn't get the job, and I emailed multiple times for an update. The unofficial rule is if you don't hear back in a few days, you didn't get it, so just move on. I asked for feedback but got nothing. Finally, HR let me know 6 weeks after the interview that I wasn't selected.
- What's your approach to estimating the likelihood of someone stopping at a yellow traffic light?
- Can you tell us about your programming background?
- After reading this article comparing trade school and college, what data would you need to gather to support one side?
