First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Florida Atlantic University.
Operations Assistant
The interview process was really smooth. They asked me about some real case studies and how I'd handle them, and also about my previous jobs. They also asked how I feel about working on-site with tea.
- What would you do if a client was upset?
- Can you tell me about your previous work experience?
- How do you feel about working in the office with tea available?
Associate Director
It started with a phone interview with the hiring manager. Then, there was an in-person panel interview with the hiring manager and 4 staff members. After that, they did a reference check. Finally, the job offer was contingent on a background check.
- What motivates your interest in this company, and what makes you a suitable candidate for this role?
Student Assistant
I applied online using a Google Sheet and then got an email saying I was shortlisted. After that, I had an in-person interview with two people on the panel. They had a list of questions and asked them.
- Tell me about yourself.
- Why are you interested in this role?
- What are your strengths and weaknesses?
Motion Designer
this was a terrible interview experience. after a 30 minute group call, i was asked to complete an animation art test for round 2. there were zero guidelines or time limit, and after i submitted it, which took 6 days of work, i never got a response, even after following up. i was completely ghosted. the job posting closed after my interview, then reopened with duplicate listings on linkedin. it seems like HR and Hiring are incompetent and it was a waste of time. i dont know what they were looking for - maybe a disney pixar level animator for simple online web course banners but that ain't happening. they need to stop wasting our time and pay us for extraneous interview materials. the company will never be great if these guys are overseeing the art department.
- Submit an animated introduction video after a 30-minute group call.
