Applied on March 28th and got the first round invite exactly a month later. The HR manager was great, explained the delay and the role's current situation. She said I was a good fit and promised a second round with a case study presentation to the hiring managers. But then, I got a standard rejection from a recruiting email ID, not her directly. It said they found stronger matches, which is fine, but candidates deserve basic respect, especially after being assured of further rounds. Being blown off with an automated email instead of a personal one from the interviewer isn't good for employer branding.

So I had two interviews. The first one was a video call with HR, they asked me some basic questions and about my strengths. The second interview was in person and it was longer, I met with two of my colleagues and they asked me more questions about why I want this job and gave me some tasks to do.
