Candidate interview experiences
First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at FLIR.
Software Engineer
It was pathetic and terrible. Applied for C#. Net position. Total 4 rounds including 3 technical and HR. All rounds were taken by USA team. First round was telephonic, interviewer asked basic C# questions. Second round was 5 hour long Skype discussion including lab assignments. It was pathetic. They give you the problem and ask you to design and code. Once you submit assignment, they never give feedback. Honestly, do not attend their interview. I wasted my entire 3 days for them.
- Basic C# questions and data structure
Senior Software Engineer
I had a short interview with about five employees, each lasting 15 minutes. Everyone I spoke with was a manager or higher. We had a relaxed and comfortable chat about my previous projects.
- Tell me about your past projects.
Software Engineer
I applied online and then they reached out for an interview. They asked me some technical questions and some about culture. Unfortunately, they decided not to move forward with my application, but the experience was good overall.
- Can you discuss embedded systems and IR readings?
