Had 4 online rounds - first was a 90-min machine coding round followed by a 30-min explanation the next day, which went really well. Second was a 45-min DSA round with 2 medium questions, went okay. Third was a 1-hour System Design round, went very well. Fourth was a 45-min Hiring Manager round, went well. Then they stalled for 2 weeks with excuses about other recruiters being on leave or the hiring manager being busy. After that, they said they needed one more round because they suspected AI usage in the first round, which is weird since they had a 30-min explanation for it. After another 2-3 weeks of non-answers, the recruiter said they had no openings and couldn't even accommodate candidates they'd already offered. Then, the next week, they posted new openings on LinkedIn.

The interview process involved several stages, starting with a recruiter call. Then, there was a technical screen, followed by an onsite interview. After that, a background check was performed, and finally, an offer was extended. A key part of the technical evaluation involved a scenario about an authorization issue in SAP transactions VA01 and VA03 related to Sales Order creation. Candidates were asked to describe their troubleshooting process for this, as well as for a delayed background job (8 hours vs. 2 hours). Additionally, they were questioned on how to ensure secure execution of sales documents while adhering to SoD and internal controls.

Confirmed questions4 questions
  • Can you tell me about your overall work experience?
  • Describe your troubleshooting approach for authorization errors in VA01 and VA03 during Sales Order creation.
  • What is your process for diagnosing a background job that runs significantly longer than usual?

Technical Coding

So, the interview started and I was super nervous, but the interviewer was nice and chilled which helped. First, she asked me to introduce myself. Then, we got to the coding part where I had to solve a LeetCode Medium problem about the Kth Smallest Element in a Sorted Matrix. I tried a few ways, starting with brute-force, then using a TreeMap, and finally trying binary search. I could write the code, but explaining the binary search dry run was a bit tricky. Since time was short, she gave me a simpler second question: Maximum Subarray Sum. I totally crushed this one, explaining everything from brute-force to Kadane's. She seemed impressed. We wrapped up with me asking about Flipkart's work-life balance, current projects, intern expectations, and any advice.

  • Could you tell us about yourself?
  • They asked my introduction first and then proceeded to ask DSA questions.
