I applied for an analyst internship in the people analytics team through Internshala and got a call within a week without any prior notice. The interview lasted about 40-45 minutes and covered questions on SQL and Power BI. The interviewer mentioned there would be a final round next week via Google Hangouts, but I haven't heard back despite following up. It's quite disappointing for a 'people analytics' team to handle interviews this way, especially for an internship.

The hiring process is pretty simple even though there were many rounds. Round 1 was an online aptitude test for 60 mins. It had questions on aptitude and data interpretation. Overall the questions were tough, on par with difficult questions from CAT. Round 2 was a telephonic interview. They asked about my present work, some basic puzzles, and a few business cases. It was an easy round. Round 3 was a technical round focusing on Excel, SQL, and business problem-solving. The problems were presented as a case and I had to solve them using Excel and SQL. This was also an easy round. Round 4 was about puzzles and business cases, more oriented towards how I think and perceive a problem, with questions like "Why analytics?". Round 5 was the Manager round, where I was given 2 case studies and asked how Flipkart would go about solving such a problem. Basically, this round checked if I could identify all the metrics and understand business aspects. Round 6 seemed like a formality, just an interaction with HR, where they asked about my present job, etc., and told me they'd get back with the result in a few days. Overall the interviews were conducted very smoothly.

We started with an online test (AMCAT Phase 1), then moved to Phase 2 which had exploratory discussion and problem solving. This was followed by an analytical solutioning case study, data handling questions (SQL, Python), and finally, an overall fitment discussion with the Hiring Manager and Seniors. The HR team also assessed cultural fitment.
