Candidate interview experiences
First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Flipdish.
Customer Success Manager
It had 4 stages: first I spoke with the recruiter, then with the head of the sector, after that with another specialist and team lead, and finally with the UK Sales Country Manager.
- Can you share your professional experience in the field?
- What are your key skills and strengths?
- What's your understanding of the company and this specific role?
Customer Success Manager
The interview process was extremely frustrating, lasting about 2-3 months. Despite repeated assurances that I was a strong candidate, I often experienced 1-2 week periods with no communication. After a two-week wait to schedule the final meeting, the President missed the appointment. At that point, I withdrew my application. I invested significant effort into the process, and the lack of urgency from their side, especially after expressing continued interest, felt very disrespectful. While the Customer Success team members I interacted with seemed great, there appears to be a significant disconnect in organization between recruitment and senior leadership.
- What are your standard questions for a CSM role?
- Can you conduct a mock QBR?
Customer Success Manager
After three rounds of interviews, they stated a decision would be made the following week. I received no communication for nearly a month, only receiving a basic 'sorry for the delay' when I followed up, with no reason or timeline given. Eventually, a generic email informed me they had chosen another candidate. They clearly do not value the candidate experience. It would be better to be transparent with candidates and maintain open communication. Given that a candidate has been in the process for over 3 rounds and 8 weeks, they should have the decency to make a phone call. Providing feedback would also be appreciated. It appears to be a group that is both disingenuous and disorganized.
- What are your strategies for reducing customer churn?
