My interview for the Project Manager role had a rocky start. The first two rounds with HR and the hiring manager went well, but the third round with two people from head office was odd. We were on a Teams video call, and they looked serious. Then they asked me a weird question about the federal government's renewable energy initiative, which seemed unrelated to the job posting about terminals and pipelines. I answered by mentioning the Paris Agreement, UN framework, and the IRA, and said I supported it if projects were feasible, well-managed, and didn't cause corporate losses. I'm not sure if they just made up their minds early on or didn't like my answer, but I didn't get the job. I checked myself after the call, and I looked fine. The interview left me with a bad feeling.

It's an extensive interview process. You'll sit with a panel of 6 people. It took several weeks to hear back, but I got the job. Make sure you are prepared to answer several behavioral questions, and definitely do your research on the company.

The interview process is as I've seen reported a few places. It took about 6 weeks total (it may have taken 5, but a few interviewers were on vacation). The rating/difficulty level I've given this interview are based off how long it took to complete as well as how many people you have to meet both virtually & physically. 1 initial phone call with the recruiter, 3 separate virtual calls with various managers in various locations, 1 virtual call with the hiring manager, then an in-person 6 person panel. Most questions are behavioral or situational, they really didn't get into technical details. On the panel, one of the Ops team repeatedly asked the same question a few times in a row - my feeling was that it was a small test of possible frustration. All those calls/meetings took 6 weeks exactly. They will not reach out to you if you do not get the position, you will receive an automatic email.

I first talked to the Koch Industries Booth at the career fair. I was told to apply online, which I did. Then I got a link for a video interview where I had to answer questions and record my response while looking at the camera. There were about 10 questions in total. After that, I was chosen for an onsite interview, which was the last step. It had about 4 interviews with different engineers who seemed to be in leadership roles.
