First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Flexera.
Software Engineer
It was a two-round interview process. The first round involved technical questions covering DSA, specifically strings, and Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) concepts. They also asked about Generative AI and general theoretical topics. The second round was an HR round. There was also a group discussion on fundamental topics. The interviewer was quite friendly.
- Can you explain overriding?
- Could you solve a DSA problem related to strings?
Senior Director, Customer Marketing
It was a thorough and somewhat long process, but it covered all the key people I would be working with. First, I spoke with the hiring manager, then the Chief People Officer, followed by the SVP of customer success, presales, and support. After that, I met with the chief product officer, and finally, the sr. director of global brand & communication.
- Could you start by telling me about yourself?
- How would you describe your leadership style?
Product Owner
Recruiter call first, then the hiring manager gave a case study or research topic. Third round was with the hiring manager again to discuss the research topic or case study. Fourth round was with a senior product manager. Then HR for salary negotiation. Overall, it was a decent experience.
- Can you answer a general agile question?
- Do you have practical PO experience?
- Choose a Flexera product and prepare a case study for the subsequent interview.
Technical Support Engineer
The interview process had 4 rounds and lasted 3.5 hours. It started with an HR screening, followed by a manager interview, then a technical interview, and finally a final interview. Unfortunately, after sending multiple thank you emails and dedicating hours to preparation, they went silent post the final round, which is quite unacceptable. A simple "we've selected another candidate" email would have been sufficient, but they didn't even provide that basic courtesy. It felt very unprofessional.
- Can you introduce yourself and give me a walkthrough of your resume?
