Candidate interview experiences
First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at FlexCare.
Recruiter
First, I had a phone screen with a recruiter. After that, I had a video call with two leaders together. They asked me a lot about myself but were really vague and avoided answering my questions about compensation. You really need to be able to explain total compensation in detail if you're interviewing, otherwise, don't waste people's time.
- Can you sell yourself using value propositions?
Recruiter
There were three interviews, or four if you count the initial phone call. They are looking for people who are extremely dedicated and get things done. I was interviewing a lot around that time and I quickly realized this was the best opportunity I had! The catch was that the position didn't start for another month. The first interview was an introduction to their company, the second was me introducing myself, and the third was a serious interview to assess my ability to do the job.
- Between hitting goals and work-life balance, what matters most to you?
Recruiter
They interviewed me three times in person, which felt like a lot since I already had a job and needed to take time off work on three separate days. They said they don't really care about experience or track record, just who they think is a good fit. So, my chances basically came down to one woman's impression after meeting me for 30 minutes. After I made time for them three times, I got an automated email saying they hired someone else. What a joke. I replied to thank them for the opportunity, but still no response.
- Can you tell me about something you dislike but do because it's beneficial?
