First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Flex.
Technician
It was a pretty easy interview process. I had a phone interview that lasted about 30 minutes where I was asked general questions about customer service and what I would do in difficult situations. I was called again around 4pm that afternoon to schedule a 1-1 interview in the city for the next day. I then went into my 1-1 interview at one of the Flextronics locations. The questions were really straight forward.
- What are your two biggest strengths and weaknesses?
- Can you describe a time you handled a difficult customer?
- Tell me about yourself.
Engineering Technician
The interview was brief and direct. A major focus was placed on safety protocols and ensuring the accuracy of both the employee and the equipment utilized. The discussion touched upon products intended for human use and the operation within a level 3 clean room environment. Confirmation of the candidate's knowledge of general manufacturing procedures and the correct use of protective gear was essential.
- Can you tell me about setting up equipment?
- Do you have questions about equipment setup?
Support Technician
After going through security, I was herded into a room with about 30 other people. The supervisor was 20 minutes late to arrive. The resume review itself only took 20 minutes. The room we were directed to had no chairs available. I attempted to maintain my usual lighthearted demeanor, but the interviewer completely disregarded any jokes I made and didn't smile at all. It felt a bit strange.
