Got connected through LinkedIn and had an initial chat to learn about the company, its values, and what they're seeking in a recruiter. I also shared my background. Then, I was invited for an onsite interview. I met with another recruiter and one other person. It went well, and I really bought into the company's values and culture. About a week later, I had my final onsite interview. The recruiter was super helpful during this time, always available to answer questions, which was a big highlight for me. In the final interview, I met the candidate lead and had a great impression, felt very welcome. There were four interviews in total, mostly 2 on 1, but all unique. I met other recruiters and some engineers. It was tough but good, and the people, culture, and mission were clear standouts.

Behavioral Group

I went through two in-person interviews. I met with people in groups of two, and it felt a bit awkward because they kept looking at each other before asking the next question, and sometimes they even disagreed on my answers. Everyone was really nice, though. They didn't give me an agenda beforehand, so I had no clue who I'd be meeting after each interview. There was almost a month wait between the first and second rounds. In the end, they told me my background wasn't a good fit.

Behavioral Technical

I had 2 rounds of interviews with people from Recruitment/People Ops and Engineering. It was honestly one of the worst interview experiences I've ever had. In each interview, two interviewers would come in with their Macbooks and just type away while I was answering, barely looking at me. They seemed really cold and calculated. They kept mentioning they were backed by Google Ventures and talked about their work with Roche. The company's mission itself is great, and I've met former employees from Engineering and Data Science who really embodied that mission and were kind. I'm hoping this was just an issue with a few individuals lacking social skills.
