Candidate interview experiences
First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Flatiron Health.
Operations
The interview process was really well organised. It was great that we could choose the most convenient times. The recruitment team was very approachable and responsive. We had the opportunity to ask questions to the interviewers after the interview.
- How do you handle managing expectations across different teams?
Product Operations
After applying, I was directly given an assignment without any initial recruiter call or screening. It was pretty demotivating because the assignment instructions were vague and confusing. I didn't get a chance to connect or understand the role before having to prove myself.
- The assignment didn't seem to align with the job description, so I decided not to move forward.
Data Operations
Had a quick chat with the hiring manager, then a week-long data assignment. The last stage was a 5-round in-house interview all in one day. "The cultural fit" seemed to be the most important part. The hiring manager said my data assignment was really good, that I "found what most do not", but in the end, I didn't get the job. The company seems to have a very specific idea of who they want to hire... like a yuppie who's always cheerful and really into talking to people.
- Can you walk us through a process?
- How do you go about getting data for a project?
