Technical Recruiter
It was all phone calls and video chats. I got to meet different people/positions I'd be working with. This process helped me understand the challenges ahead in the role.
- Can you describe an instance where you contributed to improving an interview process?
Talent Acquisition Specialist
The interview process had 4 rounds. First, a Recruiter Screening where they talked about the role and Fivetran’s culture, my sourcing experience, tools I've used, and diversity hiring. We also discussed salary and notice period. Then, a Hiring Manager Screening that went more into my recruiting experience, covering full-cycle hiring, stakeholder management, recruitment metrics, and handling tough situations. It felt like a good conversation. Next was a Sourcing Simulation, which was a bit mixed. They gave me a role outside my usual sourcing expertise to push me, and I built a pipeline using Boolean logic and competitor mapping. The structure was a 15-minute intake, 20 minutes for sourcing, and 5 minutes to draft an outreach. I was a bit disappointed because the interviewer seemed stuck on one sourcing style and was pushy. I didn't get direct answers to my business context questions, making it hard to be strategic. I still shared profiles based on skills and competitor sourcing, explaining that tools are directional. It felt like they weren't open to different sourcing approaches, which was disheartening. Still, I learned from it and am proud I handled a new challenge under pressure. Finally, there was a Group Interview / Panel Round.
