Got a call from a recruiter to set up a phone interview. The 30-minute call felt good. I was then invited to a second "web" interview, which also seemed to go well. However, I got rejected the very next day via a generic email stating they'd continue their search for the Outside Sales Representative role. No call, no personal follow-up, just very impersonal. I feel I could have easily excelled in this position, possibly even being overqualified given my 10+ years of sales experience. I also got the impression they might be biased against older candidates.

Behavioral Technical Presentation

The first interview is a phone call. The interviewer will ask about your past experience and your reasons for wanting to join this company. They'll also inquire about the skills you possess that could be valuable to the company. You'll be asked to do a sales role play where you need to pick a product and try to sell it to the interviewer. At the end, you'll have a chance to ask any questions you might have.

It was a 3 step process and really smooth in comparison to other companies I interviewed with recently. I met with my director and the SVP of sales and both were thorough in explaining the role and transparent about the current state of the business and future of the company. I left the interview excited for the next steps and was pleased when I got the phone call with the offer!
