I was contacted by the regional manager for an interview. The location was a bit far, but I went anyway. After a short interview with two people, I was told about a closer position and that the hiring manager there would call me in two days. A week later, I called for an update and found out the hiring manager was with the person who interviewed me and I could go to her store for an interview. When I arrived, we discussed my qualifications. She was impressed with my business knowledge and how I explained my experiences. She admitted she wasn't going to call me but met with me due to my persistence. I got hired as an assistant manager, even though her location only wanted a shift lead.

Behavioral Technical Presentation

The interview process started with a chat with the Recruitment Coordinator and Area Manager, followed by a trial shift. I was then supposed to have a short meeting with the GM, but they were late. I was asked to help make burger patties, clean tables, and scrub floors. After that, I moved to the fries station. One person was assigned to me for 20 minutes, but they mostly messed around and then left me alone. No manager checked on me. Later, a rude female manager looked at the fries, made a face, and told me to leave the section, not realizing I was on a trial shift. When I informed her, she told me my shift was over. So, making patties for an hour, scrubbing floors for an hour, and making fries for three hours was considered my trial shift? I wasn't offered the job because my leadership and engagement skills were apparently lacking. It's questionable how managers gave feedback to recruitment when half of them didn't even know I was on trial, and the kitchen staff didn't really engage with me.

Phone interview was super short, like two mins, asked just a couple things. Then two in-person interviews set up three weeks apart. It was all really disorganized, and they never called back when they said they would. After meeting with the Owner, District Manager, and General Manager, I didn't hear anything back after the last interview, even though they said they'd be in touch within the week.
