A recruitment manager reached out and asked me some phone questions, then invited me to a group interview. At the company, we got a company overview and then were sent for a trail shift. I spent 4-5 hours in the kitchen cooking and making fries. At the end, I had to cut a 25kg bag of potatoes in 5 minutes, which I did in 3:35. After that, the managers discussed the role and my past work experience with me and asked me questions. I was there for 5.5 hours and felt disappointed. My arms hurt for 4 days. I got a rejection email. I'd suggest clarifying the purpose of a trail shift if you apply for a general manager role, as I expected to learn more and ask questions, not just cook.

I had 3 interviews for the General Manager position. The first was a phone chat with the recruiter, which was pretty easy, mostly about my past jobs and what I'm up to now and looking forward to. Then, I had an in-person meeting at the store with the District Manager, who's the hiring manager. They asked more about my previous experience, what I expect for salary, and some scenarios about how I've dealt with things. The last interview was also in person, with both the Area and District managers. It was really quick, just introductions, and then they offered me the job, which I took immediately. The whole thing from applying to getting the offer took about 10 days, and it was a good experience.
