First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Five Below.
Sales Associate
It was a grand opening, so they held open interviews. I waited in line for 3 hours. Then, when it was my turn, the manager took a break and someone inexperienced conducted the interview. I was asked about 3-4 questions.
- What is your motivation for wanting to work here?
Sales Associate
The interview process was structured but relaxed and professional. I didn't feel nervous. The hiring manager was easy to talk to and the process was straightforward. They were patient when I needed a moment to think about my answers.
- Can you tell me about your strengths and weaknesses?
- What is your availability like?
- Could you share an example of a time you handled a customer conflict and what the resolution was?
Sales Associate
I went in, and he took me to the break area, and we talked for about 30 minutes about who I am, my prior job experience, and transportation. It was the store manager, he was very kind, and we pretty much catapulted into what I need to bring next time get set up after I get an offer.
- Can you tell me about yourself?
- Can you tell me about your previous work experience?
- Can you tell me about your transportation?
