Software Engineer
So first, they look at your application. If they like it, you'll have a phone or video call to see if you're a good fit. If that goes well, you'll get invited for more interviews. These will likely include technical tests and questions about how you'd handle certain situations. The last part might be a check to see if you fit the company culture, they'll check your references, and then either give you an offer or let you know it's a no.

Vehicle Administration Coordinator
I originally interviewed for a position at Fisker within the vehicle administration. I was sent a preliminary interview through a recruiter with the manager of the department. She was late but you know that’s ok I get it. We interviewed for a short time since she reviewed my resume prior and ended the interview. I emailed the recruiter back after a couple days and was told they decided to move on with other candidates. Ok, fine that’s ok. Moving on. A week goes by and I receive another interview request from the same recruiter and the same manager for the vehicle administration coordinator position. Seemed odd that if I wasn’t qualified for the first position, why would they reach out for a second interview? So, I go into the interview, same scenario, late, ok that’s fine. We talk again about the position then decides to put me on hold for 15min. She comes back and we talk a little more since she knew about my work history from the conversation before and we end the interview. I reach out to the recruiter the next day and was told that they decided to move on with other candidates.....what was the whole point of interviewing me twice if I wasn’t qualified?? I just found this whole process very unprofessional and it definitely left a sour taste in my mouth. I’m sorry but that’s not how you conduct business. What an experience….what a circus.

Social Media Specialist
I had a really bad time interviewing with Fisker Inc. for a Social Media Specialist role for the French market. There were three rounds of interviews where we talked about my skills. Then, HR sent me an offer that was unclear and didn't have details or guidelines. It also came with new demands like covering events and other things not in the job description or discussed during interviews, and no salary info. I asked HR for clarification, and she immediately told me I was out of consideration and not a good fit. It seems like they have a toxic culture where they want people who will agree to everything without asking questions.

Hardware Engineer
I applied for a Sr. Hw position and got an email to set up an initial interview. The first interview was with the hiring manager, lasted about 40 minutes, and mainly covered my resume and the role. They said they'd be in touch in a couple of weeks. Two weeks later, I had a second interview with a technical engineer, focusing on the role and some technical questions. A week after that, I got an email for the next round, a panel interview. I was given 4 questions to prepare a 15-minute presentation on. The panel included the Hiring Manager, a Senior Engineer, and the Executive Director. After the presentation, they asked more technical questions and discussed my start date availability. The next day, the senior recruiter emailed saying the panel was impressed and wanted to proceed with the approval process. She asked to schedule a call to discuss salary expectations and benefits. During the call, she mentioned the position would be remote for 4-6 months, then hybrid. We discussed my salary expectations, which she thought were within range. She mentioned she was filling out approval forms and I had 2 out of 3 approvals needed, expecting an offer in a few days. The following Friday morning, she emailed asking for a quick chat. 5 minutes past the scheduled time, she emailed apologizing for being pulled into a meeting with the COO and asked to chat over the weekend. No contact was made over the weekend or the following Monday or Tuesday. I emailed on Wednesday asking if she still wanted to chat. She replied apologizing for the delay, stating they couldn't secure the necessary executive approvals for an offer and wished me luck. The 'Senior' part of the job title was removed the day she was supposed to have that quick chat.
