First, a recruiter called me. Then, I interviewed with the managing partner. Finally, there was a panel interview with 4-5 attorneys, some were partners and some were associates. They asked about my prior litigation experience, including trial prep, client management, and billables.

The interview felt more like an interrogation; the attorneys were condescending and didn't seem interested in discussing anything other than their own views and cases. It was tough to get my own questions about the firm answered.

The interview process started with a phone call to discuss my background and experience. Then, I had a two-hour one-on-one interview with the partner who leads the specific practice group. This partner might ask about my knowledge and current practice. The final interview lasted about half a day and included meeting several attorneys, both partners and associates. Depending on the schedule, a lunch interview might also be part of this stage.
