First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at First Republic.
Manager
I went through 6 rounds of interviews for this Manager role. It was quite disorganized, with interviewers asking repetitive questions and giving conflicting information about the job. I even had an interview with someone who would have reported to me. They asked if I'd be willing to quit my consulting work if I got the job. Because of these issues, I decided to withdraw my application and look for opportunities with more structure and clear communication from the hiring team.
- How do you ensure alignment on expectations with partners?
- Could you describe your management style?
- As a manager, what three words best describe you?
Vendor Management Associate
The interview took place in a conference room and lasted 30 minutes. It was a quick and smooth process. The interviewers were very friendly and welcoming, contributing to a positive atmosphere. They discussed their interests and asked about mine. The offices were neat and clean. The interviewers asked questions, followed by comments or further questions to understand.
- Can you introduce yourself?
- How effectively do you collaborate within teams?
- What descriptions would your colleagues use for you?
Manager
Very efficient and quick decisions were made. I interviewed with 7 people in the department. Communication with the HR contact was great. The first interview was a screening with HR, and the second part involved interviews with 6 different people in the department. I was there for about 3-4 hours.
- What is your biggest pet peeve?
- Tell me about your experience.
