Candidate interview experiences
First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at First Republic.
Credit Analyst
The interview process had 10 rounds and then I was ghosted. It was very rude and unprofessional. Anyway, glad I didn't get the job offer as everyone at First Republic will be unemployed soon. Good riddance to this pompous bank. Glad to see them go out of business.
- Do you work nights and weekends?
Credit Analyst
After applying, there was a phone screening about a week later, followed by two on-site interviews. Each on-site had 2-3 interviewers. Mostly behavioral questions were asked. The interviewers were happy to talk about the team and what they expect from the role. Overall, it was a good experience, and you could get a feel for the team culture.
- Tell me about the best decision you've made in the last six months.
- Could you elaborate on your previous role, for example, how long projects typically take to reach financial close?
- What are the key sections you would include in a credit application process?
Credit Analyst
It was a pretty long interview process, seven interviews in total over two months. I interviewed with talent acquisition, the manager, the whole team, and the director. It was a bit daunting, but hopefully, it'll be worth it in the end.
- Why are you interested in working for this company?
