First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at First Republic.
Client Service Associate
I interviewed in the Los Angeles area and went through 3 rounds all on Zoom. The first round was a recruiter screening. The second round was with a managing director, and the last round consisted of interviews with two other director-level people. The interviews were all behavioral and felt like a vibe-check, which makes sense as this position requires you to work with high-net-worth clients. You really want to show a strong interest in managing finances and interacting with people.
- Can you share an experience of working in a team and encountering difficulties?
- How do you stay informed about current events?
- What are your current investment strategies?
Client Service Associate
The interview was done over Zoom. I first chatted with the associate who used to do this job. Then, I met with two senior people from the team. Each chat was about an hour long, and there were two rounds total. If you're being looked at for more than one team, you'll have more interviews.
- Can you share your strengths and weaknesses?
- Describe a situation where you had to make a tough decision.
Client Service Associate
It was a pretty simple interview process. First, I had a brief call with someone from Talent Acquisition. Then, I went in for an in-person interview with some managers to figure out the best team for me. After that, I had a final interview with the FAs and the team. Lastly, I spoke with HR to sort out salary and compensation details.
- Can you describe how you manage your daily tasks and overall workload?
