Candidate interview experiences
First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at First Quality.
Intern
The interview approach was pretty deadpan. I felt like it was just a super intense conversation, which I didn't think was necessary given the role's level.
- Can you share an instance where you had to resolve a conflict within a team?
- Tell me about a time you dealt with conflict on a team.
Intern
I had a phone call interview off site, they were cool about rescheduling. Then I did an in person panel with three people asking me questions. HR contacted me after that to sign a non-compete. Overall, it seems like a good process, and the pay was good for my experience.
- Would you ever take shortcuts if it meant a small reduction in safety?
Co-Op
The interview process was straightforward. I only had an interview with the manager and a senior engineer. I was able to get a tour of the plant during the first interview. The pay wasn't great. You get treated like an employee rather than an intern there to learn.
- Tell me what you know about our company.
- Would you be alright with taking on these projects?
