Candidate interview experiences
First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at First National Bank of Omaha.
IT Intern
The interview was a zoom call with the HR manager and Technical leads. They asked me some basic hr questions about the role and my skills. They were really cool and helpful.
- What makes you want this position?
Intern
It seemed like the interviewers weren't really interested in interviewing me, possibly looking for local candidates instead of those willing to relocate. The overall interview experience was average. It felt like their innovation department was still operating with traditional banking methods and not genuinely focusing on innovation.
- Can you introduce yourself?
- What market trends have you observed?
Intern
I had a meeting with a recruiter from HR and then one with the hiring manager. They were both really nice and friendly. The job description was not very clear so talking to them helped me understand the position a lot better. Make sure you have questions to ask towards the end of the interview.
- Describe a situation where you faced an obstacle in a project and explain how you overcame it.
