Candidate interview experiences
First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Firehouse Subs.
Restaurant Manager
The interview process was really informal and focused on getting to know me personally rather than asking a lot of standard questions. I had two separate interviews over two different occasions, and they actually kept my resume on file for over a year between those interviews, which I thought was interesting – they seem to want to hold onto good candidates.
- What are your strategies for business growth?
Assistant Manager
The interview had a really rude vibe. I was feeling good and confident coming in, but the interviewer was rude. The person who scheduled the interview told me to come between 3-3:30. Since I'm new to driving and the area, I got lost a couple of times and arrived at 3:10. The interviewer then told me I was late. After that, I didn't even want to continue with the interview process because I wouldn't want to work with someone like that.
- Can you tell me about your experience?
Manager
Overall the interview process felt easy. The main thing is to be upfront about your willingness to work weekends and holidays. They also care about your work history, specifically if you've moved between jobs a lot or if you've been consistent.
- What makes you the best candidate for this role compared to others?
