Candidate interview experiences
First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Firefly Aerospace.
Mechanical Engineer
It was a really easy and direct interview process, nothing tricky. There was a technical part, but it's fine if you've got the basics down solid.
- Can you describe a project you managed from inception through to completion?
Mechanical Design Engineer
It was a quick process with phone interviews with the team and a panel interview with some employees. Started with a recruiter call, then two senior engineers interviewed me.
- Can you tell me about a challenging project you worked on and how you handled it?
Mechanical Engineer
I had about an hour long phone call with the engineering manager. We talked about my experience and my interest in working at Cedar Park. They mostly went over my resume and experience. Then they asked a few technical questions about stress and strain.
- Could you explain a stress-strain curve and define each segment?
