So it was a three step process: First, an HR phone screen where they just want to check your experience and see if you'd fit in. Then, a conference call phone interview with some FireEye managers, where they talk more about FireEye and the job, and also ask some technical questions. Lastly, an on-site interview which had a bunch of panel interviews.

Rigorous interview process. Lots of technical interviews from the Systems Engineering team. Also had multiple interviews with account managers and leadership all in a short time frame. The hiring manager made me feel super comfortable, which helped my performance. The team seemed to have a great collaborative, team-oriented approach to hiring, which I think reflects the work environment.

The interview process was really disorganized. The recruiter was nice and asked some personal questions. It took about 3 weeks to get through 2 phone interviews and one on-site interview. I'm not sure why they called me when they were looking for experience in a different area, as the job description didn't match the interview at all. During the panel interview, which was supposed to be individual, two people on the team seemed more interested in showing off their technical knowledge to the manager than interviewing me. They asked questions that had nothing to do with the job and didn't seem interested in hiring.
