Software Engineer
The first step was a technical interview, followed by an HR chat. It was all about C# and SQL databases, with a lot of database questions, especially focusing on the basic C# knowledge.
- What distinguishes DELETE from TRUNCATE?
- Explain fundamental C# concepts.
Software Engineer
After applying to nThrive I got an email with broken links to set up a screening call with HR. This was a bit of a red flag but eventually I was able to set up the call. After that, I spoke with the hiring manager for the position over the phone. Then, I was invited for an in-person interview. This was a typical manager and lead meeting. They brought in another manager to interview afterward and gave me a short SQL quiz. The next day, I spoke with the director of the manager. Then I didn't hear anything for over a month. I did reach out to HR for an update but just got non-answers. I've never had an interview where I didn't get an offer or rejection within a few days.
- How would you handle an angry customer.
Senior Software Engineer
The process is pretty straightforward: first, an HR call to discuss your experience, then a shortlist for L1, which covers basic Java, OOPs, and coding questions. For me, this went well, but I haven't received any feedback or results yet. I'm now waiting for the L3 round.
- Tell me about Java OOPs concepts.
- Can you answer some Java 8 coding questions?
- What do you know about Spring Boot?
