Candidate interview experiences
First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at FINN Partners.
Account Manager
The interview process includes two rounds and a test that doesn't seem too difficult. The office culture appears pleasant, and HR was very transparent and respectful throughout.

Account Supervisor
The interview experience at Finn Partners was lengthy and felt a bit experimental. Initially, the recruiter mentioned a one-month timeline, but it stretched to about two and a half months. In total, I had 6 interviews, which included a presentation, interviewing with one employee twice, and submitting references. The recruiter cited employee PTO, availability, and a 'thorough' review as reasons for the delays. This process was the most taxing I've experienced, with little regard for my time. The recruiter provided weekly updates but seemed uninformed about the process. Observing the interviewers' lack of diversity, the drawn-out process (possibly to scout other talent), and being recorded during an interview made me suspect I was a mere checkbox or experiment, not a serious candidate. While I feel wronged, I'm sharing this to alert future applicants about the company's interview etiquette and urge them to update their process out of respect for applicants' time. They should consider scheduling interviews back-to-back to save applicants from rearranging their schedules over weeks.
- What's your approach for dealing with urgent client demands?
- Describe how you manage situations where the client and internal teams are not aligned.
Account Supervisor
My virtual interview experience was pretty disappointing. While I know I could've done better in some parts, I was thrown off by a question about my career progression. It felt a bit classist, making assumptions without understanding my personal financial situation that might have impacted my career choices. The interview felt rushed, not really allowing for a real conversation. It also ended without me getting to ask any questions, which made it seem like they'd already decided. The whole process felt impersonal and wasn't a good candidate experience.
- What prompted your career changes?
- Given your experience with large companies, are you comfortable working with smaller ones?
