It was a quick screening call where they went over my background and what the job would entail. The person I spoke with seemed really enthusiastic about my experience and said they'd follow up in a few days. They mentioned some personal issues that were distracting them and talked about them for a while. They also said I might need to follow up if they forgot to get back to me, which felt a little unprofessional, but I was still hopeful for a response. After almost a month and 4 emails, I finally got an update.

The interview process was smooth and I have no complaints. It was typical for this kind of role and I could see myself working there. Overall, it seemed like a great company with good benefits. They asked about a successful campaign I worked on.

Behavioral Presentation

The interview experience at Finn Partners was lengthy and felt a bit experimental. Initially, the recruiter mentioned a one-month timeline, but it stretched to about two and a half months. In total, I had 6 interviews, which included a presentation, interviewing with one employee twice, and submitting references. The recruiter cited employee PTO, availability, and a 'thorough' review as reasons for the delays. This process was the most taxing I've experienced, with little regard for my time. The recruiter provided weekly updates but seemed uninformed about the process. Observing the interviewers' lack of diversity, the drawn-out process (possibly to scout other talent), and being recorded during an interview made me suspect I was a mere checkbox or experiment, not a serious candidate. While I feel wronged, I'm sharing this to alert future applicants about the company's interview etiquette and urge them to update their process out of respect for applicants' time. They should consider scheduling interviews back-to-back to save applicants from rearranging their schedules over weeks.

Typical interview with HR. She was excited to share my extensive and very relevant experience with the hiring manager. This was just before the holidays so I didn't expect much until the first of the year. When I followed up multiple times she said the hiring manager was busy and she was trying to get time to review candidates. She even followed up unsolicited letting me know she hoped to have next steps by end of week. That was 3 weeks ago. When I follow up, I get no response at all.

  • Describe how you inspire your teams.
  • Can you explain your management style?
