The interview process started with an online assessment (OA) taken on campus, which included 2 DSA questions focusing on medium-difficulty queues and their implementation. This was followed by two technical rounds. The first tech round covered SQL query execution order, joins, window functions, and general SQL fundamentals. The second tech round involved SQL queries with nested joins and group by clauses, along with questions about the SDLC and teamwork. Finally, there was an HR round that touched on family background, previous interview experiences and learnings, and other behavioral aspects.

The overall interview experience wasn't too bad. I had to reschedule at first due to a small mix-up, and then the recruiter had to push it back again on the day of to a later time. It was a pretty standard interview; they gave some details about the company that felt a bit vague, but they provided more specific information about the role later on, which helped clarify things. They asked about my background, how I'd handle certain situations, and the tools I use – pretty general questions. After that, it was my turn to ask some questions, which I tried to formulate based on the information they shared about the position. It was a bit awkward that I was the only one with my camera on during the Zoom call. I think it would feel more personal and improve the interview experience if the interviewers had their cameras on.

I was in the 2nd round of the interview process. Everything went well during the interview, and I felt I answered most of the questions about javascript, angular, nodejs, and databases correctly. I was pretty sure I'd get the job. However, the interviewer's feedback to the recruitment team was the opposite, claiming I couldn't answer any javascript questions and lacked people management skills. I was shocked and emailed the recruiter, but received no response. It seems like getting hired here really depends on the interviewer's mood and honesty. I hope the company records interviews and takes action against dishonest interviewers.

Behavioral Presentation

This company feels a bit dated, like they don't realize that good candidates are also evaluating them. The overall process was okay, everyone was really nice and they moved things along quickly, which was great. I eventually got to the final stage, which involved giving a presentation to about 15 people from various departments. It was definitely a big ask. It's now been 7 weeks since that presentation, and even though they said I'd get a quick email with next steps (those were his words), I haven't heard anything back, except a short response to my follow-up saying he'd let me know when a decision was made. That's it – no feedback, positive or negative. Nothing at all. If this is how they treat people's time before hiring them, I can only imagine how they treat you once you're an employee.
