It was like the Boiler Room, with a group interview where they told us about the potential earnings. The solo interview felt like a hustle, and I didn't get the job because of one mistake. The manager suggested I take sales classes in college, which I found amusing since I later found out they target blue-collar workers, which is illegal redlining. They wanted us to convince clients to switch their CDs for equity index annuities, without mentioning the 15-year contract and the 14% penalty for early withdrawal, which still benefits the company. I later heard from former employees at another company about issues with commission payments and the involvement of the commissioner of insurance. The same manager who rejected me then contacted me for another interview, but I told him to stop contacting me or I'd report them.

First, you meet with the owner and get company info and presentation materials. Then, you have to memorize a presentation on Annuities and pitch it in the second interview. This is a sales role, so just memorizing won't cut it. The interviewer might act like a tough potential client. Be ready for them to be resistant at first. Selling is like fishing – some days are good, some aren't. But if you're prepared, you can land the job. Expect a cool reception initially, but it should warm up. If you prepare by mentally rehearsing the presentation multiple times, you'll do great.

The hiring process has a few steps. First, you'll talk to HR. They'll give you a typing test to check your keyboarding. Dress professionally since it's a professional place. If they like you, the next interview is probably with a department head, and they might offer you the job.

I sent in my resume and then scheduled a time to come to the building. I did a personality test and was given a presentation to memorize. After I gave the presentation, I met with the CEO to learn about the company's background and culture.
