First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Figure.
Software Engineer
The process started with an HR round, then moved to a hiring manager round where we did a deep dive into my past experiences and projects, and included some technical follow-up questions. Finally, there was a 1-hour comprehensive technical interview focused on a real-world problem. Overall, it was a great experience, and everyone was super nice and helpful.
- Can you tell me about a project component you developed that you're most proud of, and explain your reasoning?
Software Engineer
Recruiter reached out via LinkedIn. Initially had a phone screen, followed by a 1-hour online technical assessment. The final stage was a 3-hour remote on-site interview. Note that the job description was updated to a senior level after the technical screening. The last interview focused heavily on my current responsibilities and how my performance stacked up against colleagues to gauge my seniority.
- Can you explain how you implement services using OOP principles?
- How do you approach implementing services using SQL?
- Could you discuss specifics related to using Spring?
Software Engineer
The hiring process began with a recruiter call, which was quite straightforward. The recruiter was helpful throughout. Following that, I had a second interview with two engineers. They discussed the company and technology and asked me about three questions. It's unclear what they were assessing. I was informed the next round would be a coding interview, but I didn't get to that stage.
- Do you utilize a whiteboard during interviews?
