Behavioral Technical Presentation

I started with a chat with HR/a sourcer, then I spoke with the hiring manager. After that, there was a role play and I had one-on-one chats with some of the people I'd be working with on the team. Everyone was really nice and it was great talking to them! They gave me some pretty solid feedback and seemed to indicate I'd be moving on to the last steps. But then, a few days after my last interview, I got a generic email from the recruiter saying I wasn't being considered for the job anymore. I asked for some feedback on how to improve, but never heard back.

Behavioral Case

The interview process was long but mostly positive until the end. The long-term employees there were some of the nicest and friendliest people I've interviewed with. Two weeks after my final interview and reference calls, we were negotiating the offer, start date and everything seemed great. The executive team needed to approve my offer and that was when they decided that, even though everyone I met with was excited to work with me, I did not have enough experience. It shows the executives do not trust their team or the interview process. My relevant experience was more than double what was listed on the job description and a lack of experience could have been determined upon the initial review of my resume- Instead it wasted my time, their time, and my references time. I would be very hesitant in investing time interviewing here, especially for a sales role because you may get blocked at the last second by someone you've never met with.

Confirmed questions1 question
  • A lot of situation deal questions and behavioral questions were asked. Nothing too abnormal.
