Account Executive
The process was really structured and nice. It was well-organized, transparent, and efficient. It had clear steps, made sure things were consistent, and got measurable results. It helped with collaboration, adapting, and being accountable while still being reliable and sustainable. It was streamlined and easy to follow, balancing structure with flexibility to improve and succeed long-term.

Senior Account Executive
It was a pretty quick process, only about a week, with four interviews total. First, an HR Screening, then I met with the Hiring Manager, followed by meeting an Adjacent Manager. The last step was a presentation where I had to pitch a design using Figma. The HR team was really nice, but they moved things along fast to keep up with other candidates, which felt a bit rushed because I was also interviewing elsewhere.

Account Executive
I got referred to Figma by a friend. The whole thing took about a month, and there were some scheduling delays. They've changed their process recently, but it still feels like it drags on. I talked to 7 people at Figma, and also checked in with some other AEs to get the vibe. All the interviews felt good, I liked everyone, and they seemed to like me too based on recruiter feedback. The last interview is with the department head for final approval. My final interview was a bit wild, this guy didn't join the Zoom call. Just as I was about to message the recruiter and him, he calls my cell saying the invite had no link. I offered to send it, but he said it would take too long and wanted to do it over the phone. It felt off from the start, like he wasn't really there. Apparently, he was traveling for a leadership thing. Figma's had some rough quarters, and the chat was mostly about how the leadership planned to fix it. I guess he had a lot on his mind. I probably should have asked to reschedule, but I didn't want to wait any longer. Usually, at this point, if the prior interviews went well, they're trying to close the candidate, not evaluate them further. This guy did neither. He asked me to go over my resume, which he said he had, but there was so much background noise I knew he wasn't paying attention. Plus, it's not a great question at this stage. At one point, he even asked if I was still there because he lost the connection while walking around the office. We finished up with my questions, which got cut short because he had to go. I asked him about strategies to get sales back on track for Q2 and beyond, and he mentioned doubling down on sales enablement. Then I asked about tools for account planning and pipeline building, and he just said, 'we have all the tools here.' To me, that basically confirmed he's the main tool. It's a shame for everyone involved that he didn't even look at my scorecard or talk to his managers beforehand. On the bright side, I guess I dodged a bullet. If I had started, he probably wouldn't have had my back.
- Can you give me a rundown of your resume?
- From a leadership standpoint, what are some Q2 and beyond strategies to help the sales team improve?
- What kind of tools will be available to me for things like account planning and building my pipeline?
