First contact with HR: A phone call to present the job and check motivation, background, and fit for the role. The HR person clearly explained how the firm works, its culture, and values. Following this, there were three 30-minute interviews back-to-back. The discussions were professional and well-conducted. However, there was no feedback for over three weeks, even after following up with HR, which gives an impression of a lack of follow-up in the process.

I interviewed in Q4 2022. The first call was with an HR person who talked about the firm, their focus areas (Data Architectures, Media, Customer Experience, and digital strategy consulting), and the types of projects they do (Digital Strategy Definition, Digital Due Diligence, and Organization Consulting). They also presented the two internships available, including the one I applied for: Strategy Consulting and Digital Analytics. They mentioned the internship could lead to a full-time offer. After the initial chat, there were two 45-minute interviews which were personality-focused and included an oral case study. I didn't proceed because I was less interested in the digital aspect.

The interviews were pretty relaxed, more like conversations over video. I was initially told to expect an update in two weeks, but after hearing nothing, I followed up in the third week. I was told it could take up to a month due to hiring and other ongoing activities, which made me feel like I was being perceived as impatient. Then, the following week (the fourth week), after a second call and reference check, I was informed of a rejection because they were looking for skills not mentioned in the job post or during the interview.

I applied online via LinkedIn. It was a quick and easy process. They asked about website and advertising data capturing tools mentioned in the job description. There was no data modeling or analytical case study. The role seemed more like platform customer support or troubleshooting than the sophisticated ML-powered initiatives mentioned. The interviewer was friendly, but the company seems new and a bit shady. I'd recommend asking for precise project examples if you get an insincere answer.
