First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Fifth Third.
Data Scientist
The interview process was good. There were 45 minutes for a behavioral interview, then 2 in-person interviews that were 30 minutes each. One was behavioral and the other was technical. The people were really warm and I felt like they were close. They made me feel comfortable during the technical stage.
- Can you describe a project where data analysis was a key component?
Data Scientist
The interview process included a 30-minute behavioral session and a 30-minute technical session. During the behavioral part, they asked common questions like 'Tell me about yourself', 'Why 5/3?', 'Describe a time you disagreed with a teammate', and 'What's your biggest strength?'. For the technical part, you were given a prompt and asked to write basic SQL queries. They also asked how you might use the provided data differently or what extra data you'd include for a more insightful analysis.
- What is your biggest weakness?
Data Scientist Intern
You'll have two 45-minute interviews. One will be with management and the other with a data scientist for the technical part. They'll ask basic questions about the bank, like what you know about Fifth Third Bank, and questions about personal development. Having Python and SQL on your resume is a plus. Expect discussions about AI and Machine learning. It was a great interview.
- Can you tell me about a situation where you collaborated in a group to accomplish a goal?
