First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at FieldCore.
Field Engineer
We will start with a recruiter call. Then there will be a group setting where we will focus on behavior questions. You will talk about your projects and work experience. Expect questions about what you did outside of class, such as handling a negotiation with someone and solving daily life tasks. Finally, we will have an onsite interview.
- How would you handle a situation with an angry customer?
Field Service Engineer
First, there's an HR filter. Basically, they recruit anyone with previous experience who is willing to accept the offered salary and travel all the time. The salary depends on prior experience.
- Do you have experience with large rotating machinery?
- Turbines / electric generation equipment?
Field Engineer
Went through three rounds of interviews for this Field Engineer role. First was a phone screen with the recruiter, asking STAR-based questions and general get-to-know-you questions. The second interview was a conference call, also with STAR-based questions, and I had plenty of time to ask my own questions. The third and final interview was in person. This face-to-face interview was mostly about getting to know me, with hardly any technical questions.
- What are three key things you'd like your hiring manager to know about you?
- What are your career aspirations for the next five years?
- What makes you the best candidate for this position?
