The interview kicked off with an introduction. Then, we dove into OOPs concepts, specifically the four main pillars, and I was asked about interfaces and abstract classes. After that, we moved on to DSA topics like stacks, queues, and heaps. I had to write code for prime numbers and reversing a string. Then came DBMS, covering joins, inserting values, and deleting values. Finally, the interviewer asked if I had any knowledge of C# and ASP.NET, and requested a simple C# code snippet.

So, I interviewed with Fidelity National Financial (FnF) recently. The interview process spanned several weeks, starting January 24th, 2025. It kicked off pretty smoothly with interviews on Jan 27th (L1, after some rescheduling), Feb 3rd (L2, on time), and Feb 6th (L3). Then, on Feb 11th, I got an email saying I was selected and needed to send over personal and professional docs, which I did right away. After that though, communication went downhill. I tried reaching out via LinkedIn and email for weeks, but heard nothing. Finally, on March 6th, HR emailed saying they weren't moving forward because of my notice period, which they knew about from the start. It felt like a waste of time and super stressful because of the silence and the last-minute rejection. Honestly, be careful interviewing with FnF, their communication and transparency issues can be a real pain.

First off, they have a weird policy about phones and bags – you have to check them at security. And get this, everyone's bags get checked when they come in or go out. Okay, but the good part was the first two rounds. They were face-to-face technical interviews that really dug into my C#.NET, Winforms, and SQL Server skills. The people in those panels were super professional and knew their stuff. The third round though? Total letdown. A different panel, two people, and they were unprofessional – how they sat, their expressions, the messy way they asked questions. It made me feel like this company wasn't the right fit. They asked stuff totally unrelated to what I said I was good at, all web tech, which I haven't really worked on. Plus, the questions weren't about problem-solving, more like specific knowledge or framework 'how-to' stuff, the kind you'd normally look up online. Then there's the HR part. Before anything, they made me fill out this super long form with way too much detail, like all my education and job history with my salary. Why so early? After the third round, the HR guy told me to wait, and after an hour, he just came back and said, 'You can leave for the day.' That was it, no explanation, just that with a bored look.
