It was a panel of three people, where they asked me technical and practical questions. The HR person gave a quick overview of what the company does and the requirements for the IT Technician role. Most of the questions, about 80%, came from the Head of the technical team and the Head of the Department.

The interview process was smooth and the interviewers were friendly. There were two interviews: a preliminary screening with HR, followed by a full interview with managers and a director. They were prompt in making and communicating their decision.

Behavioral Technical Presentation

I found the job on Indeed.ca and applied through the company website. After applying, I got an email to schedule a 20-minute phone interview. Once that was done, they sent me an online personality test. Then, I was invited to their main office with 8 other people for what they called three 5-minute interviews with different folks, plus a Wonderlic test, and the VP of manufacturing gave a presentation about the company. I had already researched the company, so I was already pretty impressed. The VP mentioned during his talk that they weren't just looking for a QA tech specifically, but for new grads who could learn fast and move up, as they felt their QA team was already solid. After that, 5 of us got invited back for a second round of interviews, which they said would be about 2 hours long. Remembering the VP's words about moving up, I wasn't expecting so many questions about my future in QA. This was a bit weird because I thought it was a starting role, and then I could move to other areas. Everyone I met was really nice and seemed passionate. I'd probably apply again.
